TP54.

Director Lic. Teresa A. Veccia

Variation of the self-view and perception of the interpersonal relations within the adolescent stage.

Faculty of Psychology, Buenos Aires University.

The development of the interpersonal relations constitutes a specific problem to be studied and research by the development psychology.

For the empirical research, the developing nature of the adolescence has always been a problem, since, within the vital cycle, it constitutes an energetic but not static period. Getting to explore the personal and subjective world of adolescent so that his answers at the interviews do not only reflect what they consider to be socially acceptable has proved to be another obstacle. The addition of the projective techniques for the study of the parental relations, the self-view, and the interpersonal functioning, has let the access to the fancied material as part of the adolescent normal development.

We believe that the combination of the projective and objetive techniques will eventually allow to undertake the complexity of thid process by means of two main aspects: emotional and cognitive; wich determine the social functioning of the individuals.

The main goals of this exploratory and descriptive research are aimed at describing the functioning and variations of the self-view and the interpersonal relations at the different ages within the adolescent stage, and also at providing tested and udated tools due for the study of the interpersonal relations at the different phases of the adolescent development.
