TALES FROM HELPLESSNESS: CONFORMITY, MESSIANISM, AND CRITICAL OPTIONS
The paper is a study of multiple subjects, intentionally selected, that proposes to inquire on the psychic impact that arises from several work related conditions and their respective vulnerable family habitats. The other intention is to find and analyze the various public, private and self generated proposals born from the need to address the mentioned issue.
The cases shall be studied in the historical and social context itself, addressing the psycho-social processes implicated in the two-way trajectories of continuity, as well as their subjective, inter-subjective and discursive transformations.
This research is faced from the standpoint of the paradigm of constructive and critical transformation, using qualitative methodology, as well as conversational and observational participative techniques.
In precarious work and habitat conditions, the degree of helplessness and the intensity of suffering lead to different ways to signify subjectivities and mentalities, which condition the options available to solve them.
This research pretends to describe the intimate space of the subjects, and the inter space between them, as well as their interaction. It is in this space where the particularities of their socio-economical, cultural and political conditions tell the story of the facts.
