Abstract
The aim of this article is to present devices in mental health for perinatal
intervention (DIP). The devices are: Perinatal psychological Interview (PPI),
applied in neonatology and rooming-in; observation scale of the bond mother-baby
in NICU (N-EOV-INC), and maternal register screening (SRM) designed to detect
risk in the bond mother-baby during the postpartum period. These devices are
currently used in hospitals of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The mentioned DIP were created specifically for early detection and psychological
intervention, within a preventive perspective, in the bonding process between
the mother and her newborn baby.
The PPI has been applied in several maternity hospitals in Argentina since the
year 2000. N-EOV-INC has been applied to dyads mother-baby in Neonatal Intensive
Care Units of Buenos Aires, and the SRM is being use in a public maternity hospital
of Buenos Aires since 2009.
The use of observation instruments in early moments of life are very useful
for psychological interventions related to the bonding process, because it allows
to value the non verbal communication between the mother and the newborn baby
