TP55. La Psicología en Buenos Aires: de la Fundación Académica a la Fundación Profesional (1896-1966).

Se trata de una investigación colectiva, que integra el trabajo de un equipo de investigadores y becarios, sobre la psicología en la UBA desde los comienzos de la enseñanza universitaria hasta el nacimiento de las carreras y las primeras perspectivas de la profesionalización. En principio, se trata de una historia en la que se reconocen dos momentos "fundacionales": los primeros cursos en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, desde 1896 y la creación de la carrera universitaria hacia 1957. Se procura atender a la pluralidad del campo y, sobre todo, a la trama de relaciones con diversas tradiciones disciplinares y con las vías de la "recepción" de corrientes del pensamiento contemporáneo. En ese sentido, se hace necesario explorar las relaciones del discurso y la enseñanza de la psicología con la medicina , con la tradición filosófica y con las disciplinas pedagógicas , así como el papel de la "vía literaria", a través del ensayo y la ficción. Finalmente, hacia el período de la creación de las carreras, se aborda la recepción de las nuevas corrientes de la psicología contemporánea, la implantación del discurso psicoanálitico y sus consecuencias para los modelos de profesionalización.

El tema general ha sido dividido en "capítulos" que se corresponden con una cierta periodización que, al mismo tiempo, destaca algunos problemas específicos.

1.- El nacimiento académico de la psicología en la UBA. Los primeros cursos y las primeras "historias" (1896-1919).

2.- Psicología y medicina (1900- 1940): de la medicina mental a la "psicología médica" y las cuestiones de las relaciones psico-orgánicas, en la psicopatología y la incipiente "psicosomática".

3.- Psicología y filosofía (1920-1940): la crisis del positivimo y la recepción de Bergson, en particular a través del papel cumplido por C. Alberini.

4.- La creación de la carrera de psicología en la UBA: los contenidos de la enseñanza, planes de estudios y materias relevantes.

5.- Las perspectivas de la profesionalización hacia los años sesenta. El modelo clínico y la salud mental. Las organizaciones profesionales.

6.- Psicoanálisis y psicología en la década del sesenta. El nuevo psicoanálisis y las ciencias sociales. Enrique Pichon Riviére y José Bleger. Gino Germani, Oscar Masotta.

Psychology in Buenos Aires: from the academic foundation to the professional foundation (1896-1966).

This is a collective investigation that brings together the work of a research team on the psychology developed in the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), from the beginnings of university teachings until the birth of psychology majors and the first professionalization perspectives. It is a history in which one can distinguish two "foundational" moments: the creation of the first courses at the School of Philosophy and Literature (in 1896) and the beginning of the university major (towards 1957). At the same time, we try to pay attention to the diversity of the field and, above all, to the net of relationships established with different disciplinary traditions and with the "reception paths" of contemporary currents of thought. Hence, it is necesary to explore the relationships of psychological discourse and teachings with medicine , the philosophical tradition and the pedagogical disciplines , as well as the role played by the "literary path", through essay and fiction. Eventually, around the period of the creation of the majors, we take on the reception of the new trends in contemporary psychology, the implantation of psychoanalitical discourse and its consequences for the professionalization models.

The general topic has been divided into "chapters" which relate to a certain periodization that, at the same time, highlights some specifical problems.

1. The academic birth of psychology in the UBA. The first courses and the first historiography (1896-1919).

2. Psychology and medicine (1900-1940): from mental medicine to "medical psychology" and the subject of psycho-organic relationships in psychopathology and the incipient discipline of "psychosomatics".

3. Psychology and philosophy (1920-1940): the crisis of positivism and the reception of Bergson, mainly through the role played by C. Alberini.

4. The creation of the psychology major in the UBA, paying particular attention to the contents of the courses, the general curricula and relevant subjects.

5. The perspectives of professionalization towards the sixties. The clinical model and the mental health. The professional organizations.

6. Psychoanalysis and psychology in the 1960s. The new psychoanalysis. Enrique Pichon Rivière y José Bleger. Gino Germani, Oscar Masotta.
