El presente proyecto continúa una serie de investigaciones destinadas a elucidar conceptos del último período de la obra de Jacques Lacan con el propósito de aplicarlos a la resolución de problemas psicopatológicos.
La investigación 1998-2000 (UBACyT TP34) examinó el uso del concepto de síntoma y su función en las psicosis. Las investigaciones 2001-2003 (UBACyT P034 y UBACyT P007) avanzaron, respectivamente, sobre las relaciones entre la histeria y la femineidad, y la estructura del nudo trébol en la paranoia. La investigación 2004-2007 (UBACyT P091) abordó la cadena borromea en la histeria, explorando la frontera entre histeria y esquizofrenia.
El proyecto actual parte del examen de la noción de sinthome -introducida por Lacan en 1975- con el fin de esclarecer los abordajes de la estructura neurótica, y sus formas histérica, obsesiva y fóbica, a la luz de la importación lacaniana, en este último período de su obra, de nociones de la teoría de los nudos. Se propone establecer con precisión los encadenamientos específicos de cada una de estas neurosis, a la vez que determinar la formalización nodal de sus des-encadenamientos, lo que contribuirá entre otras cosas a la delimitación de las locuras y delirios neuróticos en su diferencia respecto de las locuras y delirios psicóticos.

THE SINTHOME IN NEUROSES: NEUROSES’ DEVELOPMENTS IN THE LAST PERIOD OF JACQUES LACAN’S WORK (1974-1981).
The present project continues a series of investigations destined to elucidate concepts from the last period of Jacques Lacan’s work, with the purpose of applying them to the resolution of psychopathological problems.
The investigation 1998-2000 (UBACyT TP34) has examined the use of the symptom concept and their function in psychoses. The investigations 2001-2003 (UBACyT P034 and UBACyT P009) have advanced, respectively, on the relations between hysteria and femininity, and the structure of the clover knot in paranoia. The investigation 2004-2007 (UBACyT P091) has worked on borromean link in the hysteria, exploring the border between hysteria and schizophrenia.
The current project parts from the exam of the sinthome´s notion -introduced by Lacan in 1975- with the purpose of clarify the treatments made on the neurotic structure -in its hysterical, obsessive and phobic form- with the knots’ theory, developed in the last period of Lacan’s work. This investigation intends to establish with precision the specific linkages from each one of these neuroses, at the same time that intends to determine the nodal formalization of their unchaining, what will contribute, among other things, to delimit neurotics’ madness and deliriums, in their difference with those found in psychoses.
