The presence of a aphorism About “love is giving what one has not” in Lacan’s teaching

RESUMEN


Palabras clave: The Lacanian aphorism “love es giving what one has not” has been part of Lacan’s work. from the beginning of his teaching and has kept on being so along it. The aim of this paper is focused on the development of the aphorism locating its modulations that depend on two variables: a) Lacanian conceptualizations of the Castration Complex; b) Lacanian conceptualizations of the Otherness, what it is supposed to be considered in that way. This paper is divided in three moments in which the meaning of the aphorism is modified. Finally, the close relationship between the aphorism and the nature of femininity will be considered and the paper will concentrate on that issue.

SUMMARY
El aforismo lacaniano “amor es dar lo que no se tiene” se encuentra presente desde el comienzo de su enseñanza, y subsiste a todo lo largo de la misma. Este trabajo tiene como propósito seguir el desarrollo de dicho aforismo, situando sus modulaciones en función de dos variables: a) las diferentes conceptualizaciones lacanianas del complejo de castración; b) las diferentes conceptualizaciones lacanianas de lo Otro, de lo que debe considerarse como alteridad. El trabajo se escande en tres momentos principales donde el aforismo se resignifica. Por último, se abordará la estrecha relación que guarda este aforismo con la naturaleza de lo femenino.
