The article scans some of the features of the prevailing discourses nowadays in
hypermodernity -science and capitalism- and the consequences they have for that turning point, that moment of passage between childhood and adulthood, that is adolescence. Modern science with its universal laws rejects the singularity of the subject and capitalism rejects castration disallowing desire. Thus, the road of unbridled excess and disorientation is opened.
Therefore, that decission-making moment that is adolescence, both in what refers to the sexuated position and the vocation that will give a name in the social sphere, may be troubled. Regarding these choices that lead to assuming responsibility over one\'s life, suicide arises as an extreme form of rejection of that responsibility as it appears in the play Spring Awakening by Wedekind, commented by Lacan in The spring awakening.
Our work is then about giving place to what is said without intervening from any more or less cruel universal that evokes the must be so that the question about life, without lending the body to death, takes place and separation be possible.

SUMMARY

El trabajo recorre algunas de las particularidades de los discursos vigentes hoy en la hipermodernidad -ciencia y capitalismo- y las consecuencias que éstos tienen para ese momento de inflexión, de pasaje entre la niñez y la adultez que es la adolescencia. La ciencia moderna con sus leyes universales rechaza lo singular del sujeto y el capitalismo rechaza la castración anulando el deseo. Se abre, entonces el camino del exceso desenfrenado y la desorientación.
Por lo tanto, ese momento de toma de decisiones que es la adolescencia, tanto en lo que hace a la posición sexuada como a la vocación que dará un nombre en lo social, puede verse problematizado. En relación a estas elecciones que conllevan responsabilizarse de la propia vida, el suicidio aparece como forma extrema de rechazo a esa responsabilidad tal como se lee en la obra Despertar de primavera de Wedekind comentada por Lacan en El despertar de primavera.
Se trata entonces, en nuestro trabajo, de hacer lugar a los dichos sin intervenir desde ningún universal más o menos cruel que evoque el deber ser para que la pregunta por la vida, sin prestar el cuerpo a la muerte, tenga lugar y la separación sea posible.
