The negation is, in classic logic, the unary connective which –by being such- differs from the others at not requiring more than one statement to whom it will convert the sense. In Frege and Freud there”s a clear understanding that it could not be the case, by a denied sentence, of a simple basic utterance operation, but that some stuff lies hidden in there as a previous affirmative instance. From a different focusing a diverse interests, Frege and Freud tackled the problem of what is implied at denying. The present paper discusses how much logic negation is based on a psychological one or the opposite, re-situating the old debate between logicism and psychologism.

SUMMARY

La negación es, en lógica clásica, la conectiva unaria que -por serlo- difiere de las otras por no precisar más que aquella proposición a la que invertirá el sentido. En Frege y en Freud hay clara inteligencia de que no podría tratarse, una frase negada, de una mera operación basal de enunciación, sino que encarna allí un momento previo afirmativo. Desde enfoques e intereses divergentes, Frege y Freud abordaron el problema de qué está implicado en el negar. El presente trabajo discute en qué medida estriba en la negación lógica un precedente psicológico o lo contrario, re-escenificando el antiguo debate entre logicismo versus psicologismo.
