Lacan.

The voice in J. Lacan's work
Palabras Clave en Inglés 1) Voice 2) Enjoyment 3) Subject
Resumen del tema en inglés:
The present research project is framed in the UBACyT research project directed
by Pablo Muñoz: "Genesis, delimitation and transformations of the
concept of enjoyment (jouissance) along J. Lacan's work". As a result of
questions and approaches raised there, we are interested in specifying the function
of the voice in its articulation with the subject and enjoyment. We start from
the elaborations stated in the seminar of 1962/63, where Lacan introduces the
voice as object a, a logical function that differs radically from sound materiality.
Equated with enunciation, the voice shows an intimate connection with the concept
of subject and constitutes itself as the support of the Other's desire: if the
subject's desire is based on the Other's desire, it manifests itself as such
at the level of the voice. We maintain that the voice is
involved throughout Lacan's teaching, and that it fulfills in relation to enjoyment
-understood as a place in the structure- a function of subjective location.
Within this perspective, we propose to inquire and research the importance and
the place that the function of the voice acquires throughout J. Lacan's work.
