Estas conceptualizaciones establecen un anudamiento entre lo traumático, en términos de lo no ligado, y la angustia automática, frente a lo que vale como indefensión para el sujeto. El juego del “fort -da” y el juego de “hacerse desaparecer a sí mismo en el espejo” constituyen referentes centrales para abordar esta temática a la vez que permiten reactualizar, desde otra perspectiva, la pregunta acerca de los límites del análisis: el interrogante atañe a una imperfección estructural del aparato psíquico. Los desarrollos de Lacan en torno a las operaciones relativas a la constitución del sujeto contribuyen a esclarecer el anudamiento establecido por Freud entre la angustia, el trauma y la castración.
