Una lectura del maoísmo argentino desde la noción de orientalismo: el caso de Gregorio Bermann reflejado en La salud mental en China.

RESUMEN
El objetivo del presente trabajo es realizar una lectura del libro La salud mental en China (1970) desde los aportes de la noción de orientalismo propuesto por E. Said (1978/2016) -y trabajado posteriormente por otros autores-, que refiere a las relaciones de poder entre Occidente y Oriente y el lugar intrínseco que tiene el segundo en la cultura del primero. Dicho libro fue escrito y publicado por el psiquiatra argentino Gregorio Bermann (1894-1972) luego de tres viajes a China en un contexto de extensa difusión internacional del maoísmo y de interés por parte de intelectuales occidentales en el mismo, lo cual contribuyó en la producción del libro. Además, se tendrá en cuenta el lugar histórico y político en el cual escribe el autor, con el fin de analizar la relación que mantuvo el autor con China y el lugar que éste ocupa en su relato.

ABSTRACT
A perspective of argentine maoism from the notion of orientalism: the case of Gregorio Bermann reflected in Mental Health in China.
The aim of this work is to make a reading of the book Mental Health in China (1970) from the notion of orientalism proposed by E. Said (1978/2016) -and afterly worked by other authors-, that refers to the relations of power between West and East and the intrinsic place that the second holds in the culture of the first. The book was written and published by the argentine psychiatrist Gregorio Bermann (1894-1972) after three journeys to China in a context of an extensive diffusion of Maoism and of interest from western intellectuals in it, which has contribute to the production of the book. In addition, it will be considered the historical and political place in which the author writes, in order to analyse the relationship that the author maintained with China, and the place that the latter occupied in the narrative.
