Significado del trabajo: una actualización bibliográfica de la última década.

RESUMEN
La presente actualización bibliográfica analiza el desarrollo teórico-empírico de la última década, acerca del significado del trabajo. Bajo los criterios de actualidad, relevancia y pertinencia en relación al tema objetivo, se seleccionaron 55 artículos publicados en revistas científicas, en idiomas español o inglés. Los hallazgos de la búsqueda se presentan en función de las poblaciones de estudio: jóvenes en condiciones de insertarse al mercado laboral, adultos en edad laboralmente activa, y personas en etapa jubilatoria. De forma general, se observa un interés por el análisis de los factores que condicionan los significados que los sujetos atribuyen al trabajo. Asimismo, se destaca el impacto del significado del trabajo sobre la participación laboral del sujeto. En este sentido, se observa una diversidad de hallazgos sobre el vínculo entre el significado del trabajo y la adaptación a la jubilación, motivo por el cual se sugiere generar un mayor desarrollo empírico sobre esta temática.

ABSTRACT
Meaning of work: a bibliographical update of the last decade.
This bibliographic update analyzes the theoretical-empirical development of the last decade on the meaning of the work. Using timeliness, relevance and appropriateness criteria in relation to the objective subject, it were selected 55 articles published in scientific journals, in English or Spanish. The search findings are presented according to the study populations: young people in a position to enter the labour market, adults of working age and retired persons. In general, an interest is observed in the analysis of the factors that condition the meanings that the subjects attribute to work. At the same time it also highlights the impact of the meaning of work on the subject’s labour participation. In this sense, we observe a diversity of findings on the link between the meaning of work and adaptation to retirement, which is the reason that a larger empirical development on this topic is suggested.
