Resumen

A pesar de la distancia que nos separa del gnosticismo antiguo, este fenómeno prefigura algunos aspectos de nuestra época, como es el caso de la anorexia, principalmente en su forma ascética.
Conjuntamente con el rechazo del cuerpo, hay en la anorexia un rechazo primario del mundo, una desconfianza y una repugnancia hacia él. Esto la lleva a una disociación del sujeto y del mundo. Representándose al mundo como una prisión y pensándose ella misma como una pura libertad acósmica, la anoréxica como el sujeto gnóstico terminan en un impasse existencial .
Para salir de éste, debe pasar una especie de crisis de conversión para reconciliarse con el mundo y consigo mismo. Precisamente Binswanger habla de una experiencia análoga en la psicoterapia, es decir una metamórfosis de la hostilidad hacia sí mismo en amistad consigo mismo y con el mundo. Sólo es posible una articulación cuando percibe simultáneamente la bondad del mundo y su propia bondad. Pero tal acuerdo fundamental no niega el desacuerdo. El mundo es ahora una morada que concilia la extranjereidad y la familiaridad, y esto sin el riesgo de perder la libertad en este consentimiento.
Aquí surge uno de los resortes secretos de la alienación gnóstica como de la anoréxica: la anticipación de una pérdida de sí en la participación del mundo.
Ascetic and Mental anorexia: from reject to reconciliation

Summary

In spite of the distance separating us from ancient Gnosticism, it is our contention that the phenomenon of Gnosticism harbingers some aspects of our time-such schould be the case of anorexia specially whenever anorexia takes up an ascetic form.
Together with the rejection of the body, in anorexia a primary rejection of the world , distrut and repugnace against the world can be detected in an anorexic subject. Rejection, distrut, and repugnance lead an anorexic subject towards a dissociation between subject and the world . Not only acosmic liberty hence, both a gnostic subject, and anorexic subject are an existential deadlock.
In order for both subjects to escape from deadlock, both must underego some kind of convertion crisis so that they become reconciled with the world and themselves as well. Binswanger, precisely , mentions a similar experience in psychotherapy, a methamorfosisi: i.e. hostility a subject felt towards herself prevously is changed into friendship towards herself , and the world as well. An articulation is only possible whwn subject perceives the world's goodness, and her own goodness simultaneously. Such an ultimate agreement, however, by means causes discord to disappear but, now, the world can be seen as a dwelling both strangeness and familiarity are conciled therein whithout subject being at risk of losing his or her freedom when accepting this new order.
Thus, it can be suggested that one of secret forces of both the gnostic alienation, and the anorexic alienation have been found out; namely, a subject anticipating that her own self is going to gest lost into the participation of the world.
