UN ESTUDIO COMPARATIVO APLICADO A UNA PRUEBA DE RAZONAMIENTO VERBAL*

RESUMEN

En el presente trabajo se resumen las características principales de los modelos de la Teoría Clásica de Tests y de la Teoría de Respuesta al Ítem (TRI) exhibiendo su aplicación a una prueba de relaciones. Se analizan sus ítemes y su confiabilidad estudiando la estabilidad de los índices definidos en los marcos de ambas teorías, cuando éstos se obtienen de muestras correspondientes a dos poblaciones. Se utilizan el coeficiente Tau de Kendall, análisis de regresión y el test de Lord para la detección del Funcionamiento Diferencial del Ítem. Se comparan las distribuciones de las puntuaciones obtenidas con cada muestra y se concluye que son muy similares. Diecisiete sobre veinte ítemes exhiben un comportamiento similar entre las dos muestras, por lo que éstas son tratadas como una sola para su modelización en la TRI. El ajuste al modelo se rechaza en dos de ellos, mediante el test de Wright y Panchapakesan.

ABSTRACT

This paper summarizes the main features of Classical Test Theory and Item Response Theory (IRT) models by showing its applications to a relationship test. Items and the test reliability are analyzed studying the stability of the defined indexes within the frame of these theories, when they are obtained from samples of two populations. It is used Kendall's Tau coefficient; regression analysis and Lord's test to detect the Differential Item Functioning. Distributions of scores obtained with each sample are compared. The conclusion is that they are very alike. Seventeen out of twenty items show a similar behavior between the two samples. Therefore, the samples are considered as one to model these items in the IRT. The goodness-of-fit is rejected in two items, by the Wright and Panchapakesan's tests.
