Esto revela la poca efectividad de estas instituciones para rehabilitar, siendo indispensable replantearse el abordaje terapéutico. Para esto es fundamental conocer la situación de reincidentes en la conducta delictiva.

Se realizaron entrevistas estructuradas para recabar los siguientes datos: edad, sexo, causas de ingreso, causa de ingreso anteriores, consumo de tóxicos, y otros.
Otra relación significativa se encontró entre las variables “tratamiento con el CPM” (Consejo Provincial del Menor) y “consumo sustancias psicoactivas”.

In this paper we compared data from a study done with minors from the National Board of Childhood, Adolescence and Family, where we found that a high percentage of the minors who re-enter this specialized institution do so due to behaviour directly related to drug use.
This result shows low levels of rehabilitation efficacy in these institutions, and it is important to re-think therapeutic strategies. It is vital to get to know the situations that cause someone to relapse into crime.

We had structured interviews to obtain the following information: age, sex, cause of criminal record, cause of previous criminal records, drug use, and others.
We found significant relationships between the variables “violations” and “drug use”, as well as between “offense” and “no drug use”.
There was also a significant relationship between the following variables: “treatment with CPM” (State Minoril Ofice) and “drug use”.
