Abstract:
NEWTONIAN SCIENCE, DISCOMFORT AND KANTIAN ETHIC
Inside the theoretical frame of the seminal 7, “The ethic of the psychoanalysis”, particularly in the class 6, “About the moral law”, Lacan remark the influence that the physics of Newton has done in the rigor of the Kantian ethics and, also, points that in the Critic of the practical reason, certain extreme position can be placed, inspired in the strong presence of the science of the XVIII century. Some main concepts will be mentioned of the formal ethic of Kant and the interest of this author for the natural science. We place scientific synthesis made for the Newtonian physic, and the incidence that it had in the Kantian thinking. We remark, following the Lacan’s perspective, that in the severity of the moral law and the undetermined will of Kant, that it harms all our inclinations due to the drastic abandon of the objects of the affection, something slightly senseless appears, provoked by the insistence of formalization coming from the Other one of scientist knows. Some differences are mentioned between the natural law and the moral law. Finally, we think about the subjective cost and the discomfort that the Kantian ethic and the discuss of modern and contemporary science.
