Abstract:
THE ACADEMIC-PROFESSIONAL MODELING AT UNIVERSITY AND THE PSYCHOLOGIST PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE IN CONTEXTS OF INTERVENTION: A COMPLEX UNIT OF ANALYSIS.
Studying the process of professional modeling involves the regarding of the socio-cultural context in which that process takes place, its different dimensions and its problematic aspects, as well as the impact that different demands have on the educational programs developed at University. Psychology constitutes a scientific discipline and a profession that presents specific problems according to its historic development and its particular process of consolidation in our country. The gathering of social demands on professional performance of the psychologists, based on the analysis of people expectations on their profile, allows to specify possible strengths and critical aspects of psychologists intervention in Clinic, Educational, Work and Justice fields. The research focuses on different relations and tensions between the nodal dimensions of the process of becoming professional that would satisfy the social demands in different fields and the curricula proposals offered for the Undergraduate Courses in three universities, through a whole of curriculum indicators regarded key issues. It´s of a particular interest, in current study, to situate the academic-professional modeling at University and the professional performance of psychologists in different contexts forming one complex unit of analysis, in terms of the inter-relationship between different activity systems.
