Fundamento: En el origen del síndrome de Burnout siempre se observa un desajuste entre el individuo y
analizar la prevalencia del síndrome de Burnout y su relación con variables personales y organizacionales.
Método: Se estudió el síndrome de Burnout y su relación con las variables personales y organizacionales en una muestra de 52 enfermeros de un Hospital general del Conurbano Bonaerense. Se utilizó el Maslach Burnout Inventory - Human Survey Services (MBI-HSS) y el Cuestionario para Estudiar
Resultado
Conclusiones: La prevalencia de Burnout fue de 3.85%, presentando el 61.54% de los sujetos un alto nivel de agotamiento emocional.

Abstract:
BURNOUT SYNDROME IN NURSE STAFF: ITS RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERSONAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL VARIABLES
Background: In the origin of the Burnout syndrome is always observed an imbalance between the individual and the organization. The objective of this study is to analyze the prevalence of the Burnout syndrome and its relationship with personal and organizational variables.

Results: It was observed that the sample was conformed by a majority of woman (80.8%). Regarding the variables legal status and type of contract, it was found out that 62% had a steady partner and 88.5% belonged to the staff of the Hospital (the rest were fellows).
Conclusions: The prevalence of Burnout was of 3.85%, whereas 61.54% of the subjects presented a high level of emotional exhaustion.
