Abstract:
MILGRAM, 50 YEARS LATER: AN ETHICAL-ANALYTICAL REFLECTION FROM THE MUSICAL AND TV RECREATION OF THE EXPERIMENT
50 years have past since Stanley Milgram conducted his experiment in 1963. The manifestations of Stanley Milgram’s experiment in popular culture account for its validity, while introducing through its narrative, an ethical appeal. From theatrical recreation in the film \"I... comme Icare\", to Peter Gabriel\'s song \"We Do What We\'re Told\", to the recent and spectacular replica of \"Le Jeu de la mort\" on French television in 2009, the experiment appears, without its laboratory rigor, deployed in the social sphere. Can we find in this sort of visual-dramatic multiplication new keys to unravel the mystery of obedience?
