“The subject of science, the calculations and the real in the XXI century: elementary particles, bout de reel and the whirlwind”

RESUMEN
El presente trabajo se inicia señalando la ruptura que el pensamiento de Lacan efectúa con el concepto clásico de cosmos. Se menciona que la fórmula de la gravitación universal de Newton produce un primer corte fundamental con esta noción imaginaria. Se destaca que la física cuántica, a principios del siglo XX, inicia una división en la composición de la materia que fue aumentando con el avance de las investigaciones. Se resalta que ya en las últimas décadas de dicho siglo el Modelo estándar de la física de partículas, basado en cálculos de extrema exactitud, multiplicó en forma desconcertante la cantidad de los componentes subatómicos. En relación a esta insólita dispersión Lacan conecta el descubrimiento decisivo del quark a la idea de la descomposición y fragmentación del mundo y, a su vez, lo relaciona a la combinación y aglomeración de significantes que se entrelazan en el juego de escritura de la novela Finnegan´s Wake, de Joyce. Finalizamos relacionando el hallazgo histórico del bosón de Higgs, a principios del siglo XXI, con la idea lacaniana de fragmento (bout) de real y con la noción de torbellino.

SUMMARY
This essay starts mentioning the rupture that the thought of Lacan makes with the classic concept of cosmos. We mention that the Newton´s universal gravitational formula produces a first fundamental mark with the idea of knowledge and objects that have a sense and make up a world, aspect that continued with the development of the scientific knowledge. We point that the quantum physics, at the beginning of the XX century, made up a fragmentation in the composition of the matter that was increasing itself with the development of the investigations. We also mention that in the last decades of the twenty century the Standard model of the physic of particles, based on extreme accuracy calculations, multiplied in an unexpected way the quantity of the subatomic components. In relation with this unusual dispersion Lacan connects the decisive discovery of the quark with the idea of the fragmentation of the world and, at the same time, he articulates it to the combination and agglomeration of signifiers that intertwine in the writing game of the novel Finnegan´s wake, by Joyce. We finish relating the historic discovery of the boson of Higgs, at the beginning of the XXI century, with the lacanian idea of fragment (bout) of real and with the notion of the whirlwind.
