Se plantea como objetivo la calibración de un conjunto de ítems para la medición del Neuroticismo según la definicióndel Modelo de los Cinco Factores (FFM). Acorde con desarrollos psicométricos de vanguardia, se utilizará Teoría deRespuesta al Ítem (TRI) como soporte metodológico. El Neuroticismo refleja la disposición a sentir afectos negativosde manera frecuente y/o intensa. La falta de consenso entre los autores del FFM sobre las facetas que componen estedominio obliga a adoptar una postura amplia para construir el mapa conceptual. Se recopilarán ítems de diversosinstrumentos y también se elaborarán originales. Estos ítems serán evaluados por jueces expertos y analizadosen pruebas piloto. Luego se administrarán a muestras grandes de población general. Se estudiará la estructurafactorial mediante análisis exploratorios y confirmatorios. Se aplicará TRI luego de analizar la unidimensionalidaddel dominio y de cada una de las facetas aisladas. Se calibrarán los ítems con el Modelo de Respuesta Graduada deSamejima operando el programa MULTILOG. Se buscarán evidencias de validez convergente y se realizarán estudios deconfiabilidad con indicadores clásicos y de TRI. Los ítems con ajuste adecuado formarán parte de un banco que servirápara el desarrollo futuro de un test adaptativo informatizado.

CALIBRATION OF NEUROTICISM ITEMS WITH THE GRADED RESPONSE MODEL OF ITEM RESPONSE THEORY

The main purpose of this research is to calibrate a set of items to measure the dimension of Neuroticism accordingto the definition of the Five Factor Model (FFM). Item Response Theory (IRT) will be used as methodological support.Neuroticism reflects the disposition to feel negative emotions in a frequent and/or intense way. The lack of consensusamong the authors of the FFM on Neuroticism facets requires keeping an open approach in order to build a conceptualdiagram. Items from various instruments will be collected and originals will also be produced. These items will beevaluated by experts and analyzed through conducting a pilot study. They will be administered to large samples ofthe general population. The factor structure will be studied through exploratory and confirmatory analyzes. IRT willbe applied after analyzing the unidimensionality of the domain and of each of the extracted facets. The items will becalibrated with the Samejima Graded Response Model operating the MULTILOG program. Evidence of convergent validitywill be sought and reliability studies will be carried out with classic indicators and IRT. The suitable items will be part ofa bank that will serve for the future development of a computerized adaptive test.
