Pandemia covid19: participación del padre en el seguimiento médico del embarazo.

RESUMEN

En el presente trabajo se realiza una reflexión acerca de la participación del padre en el seguimiento médico del embarazo. Se realizará un recorrido y análisis sobre las experiencias en tiempos de Pandemia - COVID19. El objetivo de la investigación es conocer la percepción de los futuros padres sobre su participación en controles obstétricos y ecografías su significación emocional. Para una mejor conceptualización del problema se realizará un recorrido por el concepto de paternidad actual, la implicancia subjetiva de los controles médicos y ecografías y el papel del padre en durante la gestación. Asimismo, se hará reseña de las problemáticas asociadas al gestar en época de pandemia. Se tomó una encuesta autoadministrable a dieciocho hombres que fueron padres durante la pandemia y se realiza un análisis cuantitativo de sus respuestas como así también un análisis cualitativo sobre los comentarios y reflexiones de los participantes.

ABSTRACT

Father´s participation in medical follow up during pregnancy.

Experiences during the pandemic - COVID19 will be reviewed and analyzed. Objective: to provide an overview of the perception of future fathers about their involvement in prenatal care and ultrasounds and the relationship with their emotional impact. To better understand the issue, the concept of fatherhood nowadays, the subjective meaning of medical check-ups and sonograms and the father’s role during pregnancy will be reviewed in this research. Also, the problems associated with gestating during the pandemic, its emotional impact and the role of the father in this context will be discussed. A self-administered survey was taken of eighteen men who became fathers during the pandemic and a qualitative analysis is made on the comments and considerations of the participants.
