Resumen:
ESCALA DE ORIENTACIÓN DEMOCRÁTICA - ANTIDEMOCRÁTICA

El objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar las propiedades psicométricas de la Escala de Actitudes hacia la Democracia (EAD) en el contexto argentino. La EAD fue administrada a una muestra de 315 estudiantes universitarios, con edades de 18 a 41 años. Los análisis factoriales exploratorios y confirmatorios apoyaron la estructura de dos factores correlacionados relativos a la orientación democrática y la orientación antidemocrática. La consistencia interna de la escala total y sus dimensiones individuales fueron adecuadas. Los resultados revelaron asociaciones estadísticamente significativas entre la EAD y la confianza hacia diferentes instituciones.

Abstract:
DEMOCRATIC - UNDEMOCRATIC ORIENTATION SCALE

The aim of this study was to analyze the psychometric properties of the Scale of Attitudes Toward Democracy (EAD) in the Argentinian context. The EAD was administered to a sample of 315 college students aged 18 to 41 years. The exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis supported the structure of two correlated factors relating to the democratic and undemocratic orientation. The internal consistency of the total scale and individual dimensions were adequate. The results revealed statistically significant associations between the EAD and trust in different institutions.
