Se presenta un análisis de la producción científica en el campo de la Salud Mental realizado con técnicas bibliométricas. El mismo se realizó en base a los artículos aparecidos en la Revista Acta Psiquiátrica Psicológica de América Latina, durante el período 1965-1975. De los resultados obtenidos se identificaron 23 autores como los más productivos del período de referencia. La mayor parte de ellos fueron agrupados en torno a dos “colegios invisibles”: uno de orientación epidemiológico-comunitaria, y otro de orientación clínica. Por otro lado, los resultados indican fuerte presencia de artículos con una sola firma, lo que se corresponden con la orientación epistemológica, psicoanalítica y de análisis cultural de la Revista –al menos durante el período de relevamiento-, de acuerdo a la reconocida asociación entre “colaboración y trabajo empírico”.

Abstract:
SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND PRODUCTION IN MENTAL HEALTH
AN ANALYSIS OF THE 1965-1975 YEARS OF LATIN AMERICA PSICHIATRIC-PSICOLOGICAL ACT MAGAZINE USING SOCIOBIBLIOMETRIC TECHNIQUES.
What follows is an analysis, made using bibliometric techniques, of the scientific production within the Mental Health field. The corpus analysed was formed with the articles published in the Latin American Psichiatric-Psicological Act Magazine, (Revista Acta Psiquiátrica Psicológica de América Latina) from 1965 to 1975. 23 authors were identified as being the most productive during that time. Most of them could be included in either one of two "invisible schools": one of epidemiological-communitarian orientation and the other of clinical orientation. Along with that, results show a strong presence of single-sign articles, which is compatible with the epistemological and scientific compromise of the magazine with psychoanalysis and cultural critic, during those years at last, accordingly with the well-known association between "collaboration and empirical work".
