Este estudio tiene como objetivo evaluar la confiabilidad de la traducción y la adaptación castellana del Defining Issues Tests (DIT) 1 y 2, así como realizar algunas ponderaciones sobre la utilización de esos instrumentos en estudios sobre moralidad. Los tests fueron aplicados a 200 jóvenes argentinos de Avellaneda, distribuidos proporcionalmente conforme el tipo de escuela (pública o privada) y el grado escolar frecuentado (9º grado de Enseñanza Primaria y 13º grado de Enseñanza Secundaria) Con relación a la confiabilidad de la traducción del DIT-1 y del DIT-2, calculada por el “alpha de Cronbach”, se notó que, a pesar de que los resultados alcanzados por los dos tests sean próximos, aún se revelan inferiores a los verificados en las versiones originales americanas. En la evaluación de las puntuaciones obtenidas en los tests fue observada la existencia de diferentes tendencias en la muestra investigada, marcadas por las variables controladas. Con base a esas diferencias se desarrollan algunas consideraciones sobre la validez de estos tests y sobre el modo de interpretación de sus resultados

DEFINING ISSUES TESTS 1 AND 2: CALCULATION OF THE RELIABILITY OF THE SPANISH VERSIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS OF THEIRS USES IN RESEARCHES ABOUT MORALITY
This study aims to evaluate the reliability of Spanish translation and adaptation of the Defining Issues Tests (DIT) 1 and 2, as well as to make considerations about the use of these tools in researches about morality. The DIT-1 and DIT-2 were applied in 200 youngsters of Avellanda city (Buenos Aires metropolitan region). All the samples were proportionally divided according to the kind of school (public or private) and the school year attended (8th grade and 11th grade). In Regard to the reliability of the translation of DIT –1 translation, calculated by Cronbach alphas, it was noticed that, although the values achieved were close to that one in the translation and adaptation of DIT-2, they revealed themselves much smaller than the ones checked in American original versions. When checking the scores achieved in the tests it was observed the existence of some tendencies within the investigated sample, marked by controlled variations. Based on these differences, there were some considerations about the validity of these tests and how their results can be interpreted.
