SUMMARY
La clínica contemporánea,-especialmente respecto de la neurosis-, confronta a los analistas con fenómenos, síndromes o cuadros que no son solidarios de la nominación paterna,-aunque ésta haya operado-, es decir, que no son solidarios del trabajo del inconsciente, que no corren por los cauces de la articulación significante y que complejizan los tipos clínicos. Ellos nos enfrentan al compromiso de dilucidar su función para el sujeto. Se presentan en la actualidad toda una serie de cuadros que se centran en distintas modalidades de intervención sobre el cuerpo. Entre ellas, el branding, la escarificación, el self-injures, el cutting, etc. Es la práctica del cutting, -la realización de cortes en el cuerpo-, a la que se abocará este artículo. El objeto es delimitar, en primer lugar, un tipo específico de casos de cortes en el cuerpo, caracterizados por el desarrollo de angustia. En segundo lugar, interrogar –basándonos en algunas viñetas clínicas- la función de restitución subjetiva que opera en las autoincisiones y su mecanismo en la dinámica psíquica. Por último, considerarlo a la luz del abordaje de los nudos borromeos y de la categoría del sinthome para precisar aún más este tipo de respuesta del sujeto.
