Se trata de un estudio interdisciplinario que aplica los componentes de la Investigación en Sistemas y Servicios de salud al campo de la salud mental. Sus objetivos son: describir la oferta de servicios de salud mental del área definida, indagar las dimensiones de accesibilidad, seguridad financiera y dignidad en la atención en servicios públicos de salud mental y estudiar los componentes subjetivos de representación de derechos en los usuarios y personas implicadas en los servicios. El área es Ciudad de Buenos Aires y Conurbano. Se la elige porque configura un espacio socio-urbano interrelacionado en el uso de los servicios de salud. El período en estudio corresponde a las políticas en salud posteriores a la crisis. La metodología combina niveles de análisis macrocontextuales, locales y microsociales. Se utilizan herramientas internacionalmente diseñadas para mapear y describir los servicios, evaluando su aplicabilidad en este contexto. Se realizarán encuestas, entrevistas, grupos focales, observación y metodologías visuales.

ACCESSIBILITY AND DIGNITY IN THE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES OF BUENOS AIRES CITY AND BUENOS AIRES AND SUBURBS, PERIOD 2002-2010 : SUBJECTIVITY , SOCIAL REPRESENTATIONS OF RIGHT TO HEALTH AND MENTAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM.
It is an Interdisciplinary research that applies the principles of the Health Systems and Services Research to the Mental Health field. Its aims are : to describe the mental health services offered in the studied area, to study the accessibility, financial security and dignity in attention of the public mental health services in the area and to study the
subjective components and the social representations about health rights of users and other people involved in the mental health services.
The area elected is Buenos Aires City and the suburbs because they are extremely related in the use of health services. The period studied is the one after the 2001 crisis that had one defined orientation in Health Policies. The methodology combines different levels of analysis. International tools are used to make a mapping of the mental health services and to describe them. Surveys, interviews, focus groups, observation and image methodologies will be applied.
