On the conceptions of God and the modalities of infinity in the teaching of
J. Lacan
Palabras Clave en Inglés:1) God 2) infinite 3) jouissance
Resumen del tema en inglés: The work plan is framed in the Lacanian psychoanalytic
field. He intends to study the place that the concepts of God and infinity occupy
in Lacan's teaching between the years 1972-1978. Considering some previous references.
It is possible to argue that the conceptions found in Lacan about God are produced
from one of the essential Lacanian axioms, that is, the One that affirms that
there is no sexual relationship. From this fundamental lack, the One is established
as a supplement (Lacan, Encore, 1972-73) from which the various modalities of
God are generated according to exception, feminine enjoyment and mystical enjoyment.
The Freudian One as Lacan names it refers to Eros, that two that pretends to
be one and whose opposite Thanatos always makes an obstacle, for Freud the place
of the father coincides with the position of God. At the same time, he founds
an exception to the time circumscribes a set. Lacan, for his part, proposes
to his version of the unconscious (structured like a language) to stick to the
level of the language and question this one, -or as we will see this universal-,
that throughout the centuries has produced a resonance infinite. Thus, wheninterrogating
the place of God in the course of philosophy, who, according to Lacan, has dominated
the vicissitudes regarding love, will lead him to base it as one who exists
in function of an absolute infinity of jouissance.
