La cristalización del léxico como un factor inhibidor de la construcción del sentido

RESUMEN

A partir de la concepción de Bajtín sobre el signo y de los datos obtenidos a través de cuestionarios administrados a 20 docentes y de la aplicación de pruebas de comprensión lectora a 82 alumnos, tratamos de confirmar nuestra hipótesis de trabajo: La fijación del léxico, como un inventario cristalizado donde cada significante de la lengua extranjera tiene su respectivo significante en la lengua materna (reificación), inhibe u obstaculiza la construcción del sentido durante el proceso de comprensión lectora.

ABSTRACT

Building vocabulary as a crystallised stock of items, inhibits or hinders the construction of meaning.

Starting from Bakchtin's concept of the linguistic sign, and by means of data obtained from a structured questionnaire answered by a group of 20 language teachers, and from reading comprehension tests of specialized nature texts given to a group of 82 students, we will try to confirm the core hypothesis of this research project : Building vocabulary as a crystallised stock of items where each foreign language significant is assigned a corresponding significant in the reader's mother tongue (reification), inhibits or hinders the construction of meaning.
