Histeria y Femineidad: Su Relación con el Falo

RESUMEN

El concepto de falo fue variando en la obra de Lacan. Como significado es imaginario. Su estatuto de significante es efecto de la prevalencia de lo simbólico. Del significante del deseo pasa luego a ser del goce. La función fálica permitirá distinguir el goce fálico del suplementario, propio de la sexualidad femenina. Simultáneamente el falo se vuelve un semblante que encarna el significante amo. Este trabajo examina las relaciones y diferencias entre la histeria y la femineidad según la dialéctica fálica, antes de la introducción de las fórmulas de la sexuación, en los siguientes temas: el valor fálico adjudicado a una mujer; la dialéctica fálica en las relaciones entre los sexos; la mascarada femenina; y, por último, la particular articulación entre deseo y goce.

ABSTRACT

Hysteria and Femininity: Their Relation With the Phalus

The concept of phallus has changed along Lacan’s work. As a signified it is imaginary. Its status as signifier is an effect of the prevalence of the symbolic. From the signifier of desire it turns into signifier of jouissance. The phallic function will allow us to distinguish the phallic jouissance from supplementary one, characteristic of the feminine sexuality. Simultaneously the phallus becomes a semblant of the master signifier. This work examines the relationships and differences between hysteria and femininity according to phallic dialectic, prior to the introduction of “formulas of sexuation” in the following issues: the phallic value applied to a woman, the phallic dialectic in relationships between women and men; the female masquerade; and, finally, the particular association between desire and jouissance.
