Transformaciones de lo Femenino: Metáforas, Discursos y Casos de la Psicología, la Psiquiatría y el Psicoanálisis entre fines del Siglo XIX y Mediados del XX.

El presente proyecto se propone la investigación de las transformaciones de lo femenino abordadas mediante el uso demetáforas, discursos y casos en la psicología, la psiquiatría y el psicoanálisis, en el periodo que abarca finales del sigloXIX y mediados del XX. En función de abordar dichas transformaciones se hace necesario un estudio historiográficocaracterizado en tres momentos específicos, en torno a los fundamentos y alcances de lo femenino: a) fines del sigloXIX hasta 1920 en cuanto a las primeras feministas, las primeras universitarias y la sexualidad normativa según elmodelo psiquiátrico imperante; b) la década del 30, con el predominio del modelo eugénico de la medicina asistencialy los comienzos de los debates entre el "feminismo de la igualdad" y el psicoanálisis; c) las discusiones en torno a laliberalización femenina de los años 60-70, específicamente en torno a las discusiones entre el feminismo de la diferenciay el psicoanálisis. Las configuraciones de lo femenino se van estratificando en el campo de la psicología, la psiquiatría y del psicoanálisis conforme al uso de ciertas metáforas y discursos sociales que poseen no sólo un valor descriptivosino performativo (según el uso de Austin). Esto define una praxis y construye no sólo realidades, sino que delimitapragmáticamente todo un universo. No podemos desconocer en este estudio el actuar sincronizado de la historia socialy las transformaciones de las ideologías de género conforme se han ido produciendo. En este sentido planteamosinterrogar, desde nuestras disciplinas la psicología, la psiquiatría y el psicoanálisis, los distintos cambios de lasubjetividad femenina orientados por los diferentes momentos históricos a investigar.En continuidad con indagacionesanteriores, la temática objeto de la investigación será abordada desde la perspectiva de género, asumiendo la distinciónentre sexo y el género. Mientras que el primero corresponde a un hecho biológico, el segundo alude a sus significaciónsocial. El género, según diversas tesis difundidas, no es natural sino que es una construcción histórico-social, que seha ido conformando a lo largo del tiempo (De Beauvoir, S., 1981; Burín, 1987, etc.). Las significaciones de género nuncaaparecen en forma pura, sino articuladas con otros aspectos determinantes de la subjetividad humana, se distinguen delsexo anatómico y agrupan todos los aspectos psicológicos, sociales y culturales de la femineidad-masculinidad.

TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE FEMININE: METAPHORS, DISCOURSES AND CLINICAL CASES IN PSYCHOLOGY, PSYCHIATRY ANDPSYCHOANALYSIS TOWARDS BETWEEN THE LATE 19TH CENTURY AND THE MID-20TH CENTURY

This project seeks to research the transformations of the female through the use of metaphors, discourses and clinicalcases in Psychology, Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis between the late 19th century and the mid-20th century. Inorder to address such transformations it is necessary to conduct a historiographical study of 3 specific momentsconcerning the fundamentals and reach of the feminine: a) from the late 19th century to 1920 with the first feminists,the first female university students and the normative sexuality of the prevailing psychiatric model ; b) the 1930?s with the primacy of the Eugenics model of medical care and the early debates between feminism of equality andpsychoanalysis; c) the discussion on female liberalization in the 1960s and 1970s, specifically around the debateon feminism of the difference and psychoanalysis. The configurations of the female become stratified in the fieldof Psychology, Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis vis-à-vis the use of certain metaphors and social discourses with adescriptive and performative value (the latter as used by Austin). The praxis thus defined not only builds realities butpragmatically delimits a whole universe. This paper cannot disregard the synchronic action of social history and thetransformation of gender ideologies that have been taking place. In this regard, we wish to look into the changes infemale subjectivity focusing on the different historical times to be researched from the perspective of Psychology,Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis.Further to previous studies, the topic of this research will be addressed from theperspective of gender, adopting the distinction between sex and gender. While the former is a biological fact, the latteralludes to social meaning. According to well-know theses, gender is not natural, but a historical-social constructionshaped throughout time (De Beauvoir, S., 1981; Burín, 1987, etc.). The meanings of gender never appear as a pure form.Instead, they are articulated with other decisive aspects of human subjectivity, differ from anatomic sex, and encompasspsychological, social, and cultural aspects of femininity-masculinity.
