La presente investigación se propone historizar el modo en que se da la Extensión Universitaria en Psicología en laUniversidad de Buenos Aires a partir de la indagación de tres momentos diferenciados: el Reformismo (1918-1930), elfuncionamiento del Instituto de Psicología (1931-1957) y la recuperación reformista desde el año 1958 hasta 1962. ElEstatuto Universitario de 1918 confiere a la Universidad funciones de transferencia de sus producciones a la sociedad.La caracterización de la transferencia y extensión adquiere distintos matices en los tres momentos, que recorren desdemodalidades de aplicación académica, hasta la fundación de instituciones colaterales o la inclusión de institucionesespecíficas. A su vez, los tres momentos se articulan con períodos políticos que definen la modalidad de transferencia.Así, se observa que el período reformista se focaliza en el área laboral -leyes, estudios de trabajadores, formación deasistentes-. Luego, con el surgimiento del período conservador se enfatizan relaciones de intercambio institucional y académico a partir de sociedades profesionales, para un poco más adelante dar lugar a la psicología aplicada ysu relación con las instituciones. Finalmente, en el tercer momento se aprecia la recuperación del reformismo y lanormalización de la Universidad.De esta forma, es posible indagar, describir y analizar la relación entre la universidady la sociedad y cómo la misma se va conformando en estrecha relación con los avatares históricos y los intercambiosinstitucionales.

HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION IN PSYCHOLOGY AT U.B.A. THREE MOMENTS: REFORMISM (1918-1930);THE INSTITUTE OF PSYCHOLOGY (1931-1957) AND THE REFORMER RECOVERY (1958-1962)

The present research proposes to historicize the way in which the Universitary Extension in Psychology at the Universityof Buenos Aires is given, starting from the investigation of three different moments: Reformism (1918-1930), thefunctioning of the Institute of Psychology (1931- 1957) and the Reformist recovery from 1958 to 1962. The UniversitaryStatute of 1918 confers on the University functions of transferring its productions to society. The characterization oftransference and extension acquires different nuances in the three moments, ranging from modalities of academicapplication, to the founding of collateral institutions or the inclusion of specific institutions. In turn, the three momentsare articulated with political periods that defines the mode of transfer. Thus, it can be observed that the reformist periodfocuses on the labor area - laws, studies of workers, training of assistants. Then, with the emergence of the conservativeperiod, relations of institutional and academic exchange are emphasized from professional societies, and a little later,it gives rise to applied psychology and its relationship with institutions. Finally, in the third moment we can appreciatethe recovery of reformism and the normalization of the University. In this way, it is possible to investigate, describe andanalyze the relationship between the university and society and how it is shaped in close relation with historical avatarsand institutional exchanges.
