Ip04. El Sistema Lexical del Español. su Deterioro por Lesiones Cerebrales su uso en Sujetos Normales y Su Adquisicion.

Los objetivos generales de este proyecto integrado son:

1) Estudiar la arquitectura funcional del sistema lexical del español mediante el análisis de las disociaciones del rendimiento producida por lesiones cerebrales.
2) Estudiar los aspectos morfológicos del sistema lexical mediante el análisis de su descomposición en lesionados cerebrales y de su uso en sujetos normales con técnicas psicolingüísticas.
3) Estudiar los principios de organización de los procesos perilexicales (conversión grafema-fonema y conversión fonema-grafema) mediante un análisis detallado de su descomposición por lesiones cerebrales.
4) Estudiar la interacción entre los mecanismos lexicales y perilexicales en pacientes con alteraciones mixtas.
5) Estudiar el proceso de adquisición léxica en niños normales atendiendo a sus aspectos morfológicos. La metodología según los distintos objetivos consiste en:

a) investigación de lesionados cerebrales, estudio extenso de casos aislados en el marco del enfoque de la Neuropsicología Cognitiva;
b) investigación de sujetos normales, análisis de un corpus de errores y técnicas de tiempo de reacción;
c) la investigación sobre adquisición, recolección de un corpus y encuesta a los padres.

The general aims of this integrated project are:

1) The study of the functional architecture of the Spanish lexical system by means of the analysis of the performance dissociations due to brain damage.
2) The study of the morphological aspects of the lexical system by means of the analysis of its impairment in brain-damaged patients and its use in normal subjects, by using psycholinguistic techniques.
3) The study of the principles of organisation of the perilexical processes (grapheme-to-phoneme and phoneme-to-grapheme conversion) by means of a fine-grained analysis of their impairment due to brain damage.
4) The study of the interaction between the lexical and perilexical mechanisms in patients with both lesions.
5) The study of the lexical acquisition process in normal children, considering its morphological aspects. According to the different aims, the methodology consists of:

a) brain-damaged patients research: the extensive study of single cases within the frame of the Cognitive Neuropsychology approach;
b) normal subjects research: the analysis of an error corpus and the reaction time techniques;
c) acquisition research: a corpus building up and parents interviews.
