TP38. Mejoría de la Calidad de Vida de Pacientes Adultos Hemodializados.

Buenos Aires concentra la tercera parte del total de pacientes en hemodiálisis del país: 3000 pacientes. La complejidad de esta patología demanda de un abordaje interdisciplinario, y en la actualidad el equipo asistencial para esta población esta conformado por nefrólogos, psicólogos, enfermeros y trabajadores sociales.

Tomando en consideración:

• que en el año 1995 se crea la carrera de Terapia Ocupacional en la Facultad de Psicología,

Creemos que es fundamental probar la eficacia de la intervención de Terapia Ocupacional en el abordaje de estos pacientes para mejorar su calidad de vida a través del incremento de su desempeño ocupacional.

La metodología a utilizar será la de tomar dos muestras sistemáticas, al azar de 250 pacientes que conformarán un grupo experimental y uno control con similares parámetros de edad y sexo. Se aplicarán las siguientes pruebas antes y después del tratamiento de Terapia Ocupacional al grupo experimental y al inicio y final de la investigación al grupo control:

1.-Cuestionario de autoestima (Versión adaptada por la Dra Casullo)

2.-Cuestionario de Calidad de Vida (Versión adaptada por Martorelli-Papiermeister)

3.-Cuestionario "Desempeño ocupacional" (Versión adaptada por Lic Papiermeister)

4.-Evaluación funcional

Una vez obtenidos los resultados de las pruebas se procederá a seleccionar y aplicar estrategias de intervención de Terapia ocupacional que respondan a las necesidades de dicha población.

Improvement of quality of life of adults patients in hemodialysis in Buenos Aires - Argentina.

Buenos Aires concentrates the third part of the total of patients in hemodialysis of the country: 3000 patients. The complexity of this pathology demands that it will be approached for an interdisciplinary team.

Currently the assistance team of this population includes specialists in kidney diseases, psychologists, nurses and social workers.

Taking in consideration:

• that in the year 1995 is created the Occupational Therapy Career in the Faculty of Psychology,
• that the problems of this population transcends the medical-psychological-social aspects since that it commits specifically the occupational performance of this people in the following areas:

We believe that it is fundamental to prove the efficiency of the occupational therapy intervention in the boarding of these patients to improve their quality of life through increase of their occupational performance.

The method used would be to take two systematical samples at random of 250 patients that will form an experimental group and one control with similar age and sex parameters.

They will be applied the following tests before and after the occupational therapy treatment to the experimental group and at the beginning and at the end of the investigation to the control group:

1.-Questionnaire of Self-esteem (Version adapted by Dr Casullo)

2.-Questionnaire of Quality of Life (version adapted by Martorelli-Papiermeister)

3.-Questionnaire "Occupational Performance" (Version adapted by Lic. Papiermeister)

4.-Functional assesment

Once the results were obtained from the tests we will proceed to select and apply strategies of occupational therapy treatment which will meet the needs of this population.dos.
