CLINICAL PSYCHO-PEDAGOGY: DYNAMIC BINDING OF AFFECT IN LEARNING

The project hereby is part of the research program that the Chair of Clinical Psycho-pedagogy at the Faculty of Psychology in the University of Buenos Aires has carried out from 1988 to the present . The above mentioned program has developed a set of research projects to produce specific theories in psycho-pedagogy related to the characteristics of psychic restrictions affecting children and adolescents with learning problems The results obtained in previous research projects have shown that children with learning difficulties are characterized by Sorong restrictions and rigidity in their learning modalities which disempower them to participate in the educational system creatively. From these results, the main objective proposed in this opportunity is to deepen the conceptualization of the dynamic aspects that restrict the binding of representation and affect in learning and to characterize the modalities of deployment and restrictions that affect the quality of symbolic productions of children and adolescents with learning difficulties. The focus will be on the analysis of subjective traits in the symbolic productions of children and adolescents attending the Clinical Assistance Program for children with learning difficulties before, during and alter completion of psycho-pedagogical treatment to enhance the specificity of the dynamic changes in their productions . Sessions of two years of treatment in two groups of children with learning difficulties will be recorded to explore the dynamic aspects that restrict the binding of representations and affect in singular modalities of investment of social objects . The research aims to: ? Characterize the modalities of deployment and / or restrictions that affect the quality of symbolic productions (modes of writing, thinking, talking or drawing) ? Transfer to clinical psycho-pedagogy and to the educational field modalities of intervention that stimulate the binding of affect and representation in learning. Research in this subject will improve clinical therapeutic interventions and enhance the impact of adults and peers in the acquisition of psychic plasticity in learning in children and adolescents with and without learning difficulties.
