What does it mean that a subject identifies with his symptom at the end of his recover? Isn´t it, perhaps, the major difficulty in which we find ourselves at the beginning of a treatment when the subject appears identified to his symptom, and he considers it something so valuable that is not ready to yield it? It is across the device of the pass and testimonies that we could learn what a psychoanalysis does with a subject, which are the transformations of his symptom, the new destinies of the libido, which is the profit of desire, the statute of Other. The “identification to the symptom” implies a clash with what is real. The identification does not belong to the I of the analyst, neither to the insconcient, that is to say to Other one, but to his symptom. It is about being "to be able to do with his symptom ", which is one the ways of knowing what to do with what is not able to heal.

SUMMARY
El objetivo es desplegar el concepto de “identificación al síntoma” y su relación con la “destitución subjetiva”. ¿Qué significa que un sujeto se identifique con su síntoma al final de la cura? ¿No es acaso la mayor dificultad con la que solemos encontrarnos al comienzo de un tratamiento, cuando el sujeto se presenta identificado a su síntoma y lo considera algo tan valioso que no parece dispuesto a cederlo? A través los testimonios recogidos en el pase, nos enteramos qué hace un psicoanálisis con un sujeto, cuáles son las transformaciones de su síntoma, los nuevos destinos de la libido, cuál es la ganancia de deseo y cuál el estatuto del Otro que deviene. La “identificación al síntoma” implica un enfrentamiento con lo real. La identificación no es al yo del analista ni al inconsciente, es decir al Otro, sino a su síntoma. Se trata de un “saber hacer con su síntoma”, que es una de las formas de saber hacer con lo incurable.
