América Latina desde la década de los ’90 atraviesa cambios estructurales inciertos, las nuevas políticas laborales repercuten en la esfera política y económica y en los ámbitos más cotidianos al ciudadano común. Afecta, así, el funcionamiento familiar y a cada uno de sus integrantes.
La falta de empleo dio paso al sentimiento de incertidumbre, convirtiéndose ambas condiciones en estresores psicosociales cotidianos.
Si bien la familia tiene como tÁrea ser el principal pilar del apoyo social, la fragilidad y desorganización social ha instalado en los sujetos la sensación de desamparo.
La realidad no pasa inadvertida a los niños. El mundo infantil de juegos, fantasía y cuentos, se haya atravesado por un mundo real que los vuelve protagonistas del malestar social.
En los últimos años millones de argentinos experimentaron por primera vez en sus vidas el hambre, el desempleo, la caída abrupta de su calidad de vida.
En este nuevo contexto crecen los niños de la Argentina, por experiencia propia y ajena. Los niños han formado su propio sistema de conceptos. Conocer la noción que tienen acerca del trabajo, pobreza y la familia es comprender qué están aprendiendo las nuevas generaciones de esta crisis producto de la inestabilidad laboral y cuales son las representaciones que pueden llegar a estructurar su realidad futura.

Psychosocial context and the graphic representation of work, family and poverty in children.

Since the ´90s, Latin America has passed through uncertain structural changes. The new work politics have had an effect in political and economical life as well as in the daily life of any citizen. The family fuctioning and each of its members have been damaged by these effects.
The lack of employment has caused the appearance of feelings of uncertainty, turning both of them into everyday stress factors.
The family has always been one of the principal social support for the people; in spite of this, the social disorganization and fragility has introduced helplessness feelings among its members.
Children also perceive the effects of our daily reality; their world of games, fantasy and tales faces the real life where they come across social uneasiness.
In the last years, millions of argentinian people have experienced for the first time, the feelings of hunger, unemployment and the sudden fall of their quality of life.
Our children grow up in this new context, developing their own ideas. The reason for studying their thoughts of work, poverty and family, have to do with the need of understanding what the coming generations are and will be learning in a world full of unstablity and most of all, with job unstability, as well as studying the way the children think their future.
