El objetivo general del presente trabajo es analizar las Representaciones Sociales (RS) que un grupo de población general y estudiantes universitarios tienen de la segunda guerra mundial, así como la historiografía de sentido común subyacente, y los valores y creencias a ellos asociados. Desde la perspectiva de la teoría de las RS surge una línea de investigación que toma a la historia como objeto representacional, indagando cómo las personas y los grupos sociales se representan a sí mismos su pasado individual y social. El estudio es de naturaleza correlacional de diferencias de grupos, de diseño no experimental transversal. La muestra será de tipo no probabilística intencional con individuos de ambos sexos residentes en Ciudad de Buenos Aires y dos ciudades del interior del país. Se busca poner en relación la narrativa histórica que un grupo elabora, las RS hegemónicas y polémicas que surgen y su relación con los valores y las creencias en relaciones intergrupales simétricas o asimétricas. Abrir esta perspectiva de análisis permitirá enriquecer, los estudios de las RS de la historia, la memoria colectiva y la comprensión de cómo los argentinos construyen un relato sobre el pasado, que afecta el presente y futuro de la sociedad.

COLLECTIVE MEMORY AND SOCIAL REPRESENTATIONS OF HISTORY OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR: BELIEFS AND VALUES ASSOCIATED.

The overall objective of this paper is to analyze the Social Representations (SR) that a group of general population and university students have of the second world war and the historiography of underlying common sense, and the values and beliefs associated with them. From the perspective of Social Representations Theory (SRT), a line of research focuses on history as a representational object, investigating how people and social groups represent themselves their individual and social past. The study is of correlational group differences, non-experimental design. The simple is intentionally non probabilistics, with individues of both sexes living in the City of Buenos Aires and two citys of the country. It searchs to link the historical narrative that a group elaborate, the hegemonic and polemic SR that arise and their relationship with the values and the beliefs in symmetrical or asymmetrical intergroup relations. Opening this analytical perspective allows enriching the studies of SR of the history, the collective memory and the understandig of how the argentinans build a story about the past, which affects the present and the future of the society.
