Resumen:

Este proyecto tiene el objetivo de analizar cómo influyen las emociones sobre la consolidación del aprendizaje y la memoria. Se desarrollarán estudios en los que se espera que la realización de una tarea activante (por ej. la resolución de operaciones matemáticas, armado de rompecabezas y bloques, de distinta complejidad) luego de una prueba de memoria, module la consolidación de la información adquirida. Se espera poder observar que los participantes recuerdan más y con más detalle las tareas con contenido emocionalmente significativo, tanto en una actividad de modalidad verbal como visual. Este plan de investigación intenta responder las siguientes preguntas: ¿Qué factores modulan el aprendizaje y la memoria en niños? ¿De qué manera lo hacen? ¿Se pueden generar intervenciones para facilitar estos procesos durante el desarrollo? Se va a estudiar la influencia de factores internos (conductuales) y externos (familiares, sociales y ambientales). La identificación de estos factores va a permitir determinar qué condiciones favorecen o deterioran el aprendizaje y la memoria, y en función de ello, se podrán diseñar estrategias para facilitar ambos procesos.

EMOTION AND COGNITION: MODULATING FACTORS ON MEMORY AND LEARNING IN CHILDREN

This project aims to analyze how emotions influence on the consolidation of learning and memory in children. It will be developed studies, in which are expected to find that the resolution of an activating task (eg. The resolution of mathematical operations, assembling puzzles and blocks of different types of complexity) after a memory test, will module the consolidation of acquired information. It is expected to observe that the participants will remember more information and in more detail the tasks with significant emotional content, in an activity with both verbal and visual modality. This plan of the researching seeks to answer the following questions: What factors modulate learning and memory in children? How do they do it? Is it possible to generate interventions to facilitate these processes during the development? It will be studied the influence of both internal (behavioral) and external (family, social and environmental) factors. The identification of these factors will allow us to determinate which conditions improve or impair learning and memory, and depending on this, it will be possible to design strategies to facilitate both processes.
