La práctica nos confronta con fenómenos que suponen un desafío para el psicoanálisis. La toxicomanía es uno de ellos. Si bien es posible rastrear tanto en Freud como en Lacan algunas menciones a los tóxicos, principalmente referidas a su función en la economía libidinal, no existe en ninguno de los autores un esfuerzo de conceptualización ni una tesis clara sobre las toxicomanías. Por otro lado, tal como señala Sylvie Le Poulichet, la toxicomanía no se ha constituido como objeto en un campo conceptual que se caracterice por su homogeneidad. Nace en el suelo de la psiquiatría y es abordado desde diversas disciplinas, cosa que contribuye a su falta de especificidad. En Freud, las referencias al tóxico son rastreables, en su mayoría, en los textos previos a la formulación de la segunda tópica. Este Proyecto sostiene que es a la luz de los desarrollos posteriores a 1920 que pueden obtenerse operadores conceptuales que permitan dar cuenta de los fenómenos propios de las toxicomanías. Sin pretender agotar el tema ni producir una tesis sobre las toxicomanías, este Proyecto se propone ubicar los aportes que la clínica de la segunda tópica freudiana brinda para el abordaje del fenómeno toxicómano.

CONTRIBUTIONS OF PSYCHOANALYSIS TO ADDRESSING ADDICTION

Abstract Practice confronts us with phenomena that present a challenge for psychoanalysis. Drug addiction is one of them. While it is possible to trace both in Freud´s and Lacan´s work a few references to drug, mainly related to its role in the libidinal economy, it is not possible to find a ef fort to produce a thesis about addiction in any of them. On the other hand, as noted by Sylvie Le Poulichet , drug addiction has not been constituted as an object in a conceptual field that is characterized by its homogeneity. Born in the land of psychiatry and is approached by different discipline, which contributes to its lack of specificity. In Freud, the references to toxic, are mostly found in texts that precede those of the second topic. This project argues that it is in the light of the developments that take place after 1920 that conceptual operators that allow to account for the phenomena of drug addiction can be obtained. Without pretending to exhaust the subject and produce a thesis on addiction, this project proposes to place the contributions that the clinic of the second topic provides in the approach to the addict phenomenon.
