La causa del sujeto. Su formalización como función desde el Seminario 12 de Jacques Lacan

RESUMEN

El siguiente trabajo continúa presentando la investigación iniciada en la investigación de maestría “La causa del sujeto. Su lugar y función desde la enseñanza media de Jacques Lacan (1960-1971)”, y anticipa los desarrollos de la tesis doctoral “La función clínica en psicoanálisis. Su formalización a partir del modelo del acto en el Seminario 15 de Jacques Lacan”. Retomando una hipótesis en donde propusimos el pasaje de la causalidad psíquica como posición teórica hacia una noción de la “causa del sujeto” como operativa en la cura, nos situaremos en esta ocasión en el Seminario 12, en donde, según nuestra lectura, Lacan eleva su conocida fórmula del significante al estatuto de función, y define al analista como responsable de una conversión ética radical: la introducción del sujeto en el orden del deseo. A partir de esta indicación clínica, delimitamos los operadores que, en su articulación, permiten formalizar la causa del sujeto en la práctica analítica. Estos incluyen la constitución de la división subjetiva, la puesta en forma del síntoma en un análisis y un posicionamiento específico del analista en relación al lugar del deseo.

ABSTRACT

The cause of the subject. Its formalization as a function from Jacques Lacan’s Seminar 12

The following work continues to present the research initiated in the master’s thesis “The Cause of the Subject. Its Place and Function in Jacques Lacan’s Middle Teaching (1960-1971),” and anticipates the developments of the doctoral dissertation “The Clinical Function in Psychoanalysis. Its Formalization from the Model of the Act in Jacques Lacan’s Seminar 15.” Taking up a hypothesis in which we proposed the passage from psychic causality as a theoretical position toward a notion of the “cause of the subject” as operative in the cure, we will situate ourselves on this occasion in Seminar 12, where, according to our reading, Lacan elevates his well-known formula of the signifier to the status of a function, and defines the analyst as responsible for a radical ethical conversion: the introduction of the subject into the order of desire. From this clinical indication, we delimit the operators that, in their articulation, allow for the formalization of the cause of the subject in analytic practice. These include the constitution of subjective division, the putting into form of the symptom in an analysis, and a specific positioning of the analyst in relation to the place of desire.
