Construcción del pensamiento social: representaciones sociales sobre la no inserción formal en jóvenes

RESUMEN

Se presentan los avances de un estudio exploratorio sobre representaciones y prácticas sociales de jóvenes “invisibles”, no insertos en el sistema educativo ni laboral formal, de ambos sexos, de entre 18 y 30 años, de distintos niveles socioeconómicos. Se realizaron 30 entrevistas en profundidad. Los datos fueron analizados a través de las categorías discursivas emergentes.
Se indagó acerca de la trayectoria laboral y las significaciones atribuidas a esta falta de inserción. Se registraron explicaciones centradas en la inadecuación del yo, que se corresponden con una imagen de sí mismos estigmatizada en la idea de “vagos”, “colgados”, “faltos de interés”, “desorganizados”.
Las categorizaciones sobre el sí mismo y las representaciones sociales construidas sobre la no inserción formal, permiten problematizar la relación individuo-sociedad en lo que respecta a la construcción social de conocimientos. Esta relación es problematizada desde la Teoría de las Representaciones Sociales a partir de explicitar los aspectos ontológicos (Marková, 2003) y las esferas de pertenencia de las mismas (Jodelet, 2008).

ABSTRACT

Construction of social thought: social representations about the non formal integration in young people

An exploratory study is presented about social representations and practices of young “invisible” people, not belonging to the formal educational o labor system, of both sexes, ages between 18 and 30 years old, of different socioeconomically levels. 23 in depth interviews were carried out. The data was analyzed through the emergent discursive categories.
We explored the labor trajectory and the meanings attributed to this lack of integration, arising abusing experiences and self attributions of failure. There were inadequate explanations focused on the self inadequacy”, which correspond to an image of themselves stigmatized in the idea of ​​"lazy", "hanging", "uninteresting", "disorganized".
The categorizations of the self and the social representations built on non-formal insertion, allow problematize the relationship between individual and society in terms of the social construction of knowledge. This relationship is problematized from the Social Representations Theory after explicit the ontological (Markova, 2003) and areas belonging to the same (Jodelet, 2008).
