Musicoterapia, Salud e Identidad Cultural. El abordaje musicoterapéutico para el fortalecimiento de la identidad cultural en niños y niñas migrantes internos e inmigrantes asistidos en un hospital público de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires

RESUMEN

Un número significativo de los pacientes pediátricos oncológicos que se atienden en el Hospital Público Pediátrico de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires provienen de países limítrofes y diversas zonas del interior del país. Las prácticas invasivas y el desarraigo cultural imponen la necesidad de elaborar los aspectos traumáticos y resignificar el duelo. A este difícil proceso se le suma el desconocimiento por parte de médicos y enfermeros de la cultura del “otro”, generando una situación de exclusión social. A partir de la reflexión sobre el sujeto y su relación con lo sonoro-musical, y la salud, se implementó durante dos años un dispositivo musicoterapéutico en el contexto del Servicio de Hemato-Oncología del Hospital Nacional Pediátrico Pedro de Elizalde. En base a la intervención realizada, el siguiente proyecto de investigación se propone caracterizar la función del abordaje musicoterapéutico en el fortalecimiento de la identidad cultural en pacientes pediátricos migrantes internos e inmigrantes.

ABSTRACT

Music therapy, Health and Cultural Identity. The music therapy approach for the cultural identity strengthening in migrant children and inmigrants, attending to a public hospital in the city of Buenos Aires

A significant number of pediatric cancer patients treated at the Public Pediatric Hospital of the City of Buenos Aires come from neighboring countries and other regions of Argentina. Invasive practices and cultural uprooting impose the need to elaborate on traumatic aspects and to redefine grief. This difficult process is compounded by the ignorance on the part of doctors and nurses of the culture of the “other”, generating a situation of social exclusion. Based on the reflection on the subject and his relationship with music, sound and health, a music therapy device was implemented for two years in the context of the Haemato-Oncology Unit of the Pedro de Elizalde Pediatric National Hospital. Based on the intervention carried out, the following research project aims to characterize the role of the music therapy approach in strengthening cultural identity in internal migrant and immigrant pediatric patients.
