Síntoma y creación en Vincent Van Gogh

RESUMEN

El presente trabajo se enmarca en un Proyecto de investigación UBACyT en curso que indaga las relaciones entre síntoma y creación en la última enseñanza de Lacan. Aquí, a través de las cartas escritas a su hermano Theo, nos centraremos en Vincent Van Gogh para delimitar aquello que este artista enseña respecto de los vínculos que pueden establecerse entre síntoma y saber hacer. En función de ello precisaremos aquello que se presenta como sintomático a nivel del lenguaje, de su cuerpo y de su obra, para enfatizar lo que finalmente prevalece a pesar de los intentos de reparación.

ABSTRACT

Symptom and creation in Vincent Van Gogh

This essay is framed in the context of an ongoing UBACyT research project aimed at investigating the relationships between symptom and creation in Lacan’s last teaching. Here, through the letters written to his brother Theo, we will focus on Vincent Van Gogh to delimit what this artist teaches about the links that can be established between symptom and know-how. Based on this, we will specify what is presented as symptomatic at the level of his language, his body and his art, to emphasize what finally prevails despite attempts at repair.
