La Histeria y el Otro Absoluto

RESUMEN

A partir de la concepción que J. Lacan construyó acerca de la posición femenina como “Otro absoluto”, por medio del relevo tomado del hombre, hemos distinguido la modalidad histérica de ese relevo, como identificación con él. Luego hemos subrayado el interés del sujeto histérico por el síntoma del hombre, encarnado en otra mujer. Finalmente, hemos propuesto la diferenciación entre síntomas histéricos que hacen lazo social, por esa mediación o relevo, y otros que fracasan en ese punto, dejando al sujeto a expensas del estrago por el Otro materno.

Hysterics and the Absolute Other

Following J. Lacan’s conceptions about feminity as “absolute Other” by means of being relieved by a man, it is possible to difference a hysterical modality of such relief that supposes an identification with the male partner. The hysteric’s interest is adressed towards a man’s symptom, incarned in another woman. Finally, we remarked the difference between hysterical symptoms that establish a social link, through such mediation or relief, and others that fail, and therefore the subject is ravished by the maternal Other.
