Acerca del objeto de la angustia en un testimonio de Chéjov

RESUMEN

Analizamos aquí un testimonio de Antón Chéjov retomado por Lacan en El Seminario 10. La Angustia, para dar cuenta de la existencia de un objeto para dicho afecto. Exploramos los vínculos entre este objeto y la pulsión, identificados por Freud como elementos necesarios para la emergencia de la “angustia neurótica”. Por último, analizamos los nexos entre distintas manifestaciones de angustia presentes en los tres ejemplos comentados por el escritor ruso en su testimonio y caracterizamos uno de ellos como una manifestación de horror al saber.

ABSTRACT

On the object of anguish in a testimony by Chéjov

In this paper, we analyze a testimony by Anton Chekhov, later taken up by Lacan in Seminar 10. Anxiety, to account for the existence of an object of this affect. We explore the links between this object and the drive, identified by Freud as necessary elements for the emergence of “neurotic anxiety”. Finally, we analyze the connections between different manifestations of anxiety present in the three examples discussed by the Russian writer in his testimony and we characterize one of them as a manifestation of horror of knowledge.
