RESUMEN
Este artículo analiza la lectura que Louis Althusser realiza del retorno a Freud propuesto por Jacques Lacan, con el fin de esclarecer las condiciones teóricas de una concepción no humanista del sujeto. El retorno a Freud no es entendido como una restauración doctrinaria, sino como una operación lacaniana que reinscribe el descubrimiento freudiano en el registro de la estructura y la ruptura epistemológica. Desde esta perspectiva, Althusser no efectúa dicho retorno, sino que aporta categorías filosóficas que permiten formalizar su alcance crítico y sus efectos sobre una teoría del sujeto como efecto. A partir del examen de Freud y Lacan (1964) e Ideología y aparatos ideológicos del Estado (1970), el artículo explora la articulación entre ideología e inconsciente, destacando la interpelación, la división subjetiva y el síntoma como puntos de falla del sentido. Se concluye que esta lectura permite politizar la subjetividad sin reducir el inconsciente a ideología.

SUMMARY
This article analyzes Louis Althusser’s reading of Jacques Lacan’s return to Freud, with the aim of clarifying the theoretical conditions of a non-humanist conception of the subject. The return to Freud is not understood as a doctrinal restoration, but as a Lacanian operation that reinscribes Freud’s discovery within the register of structure and epistemological rupture. From this perspective, Althusser does not carry out this return himself, but rather provides philosophical categories that make it possible to formalize its critical scope and its effects on a theory of the subject as effect. Through an examination of Freud and Lacan (1964) and Ideology and Ideological State Apparatuses (1970), the article explores the articulation between ideology and the unconscious, emphasizing interpellation, subjective division, and the symptom as points where meaning fails. It concludes that this reading makes it possible to politicize subjectivity without reducing the unconscious to ideology.
