From the Unary to the Supernumerary: Badiou’s Event and the Psychoanalytic Act.

RESUMEN
Esta investigación indaga la relación entre el acontecimiento de Alain Badiou y el acto en psicoanálisis. La hipótesis sostiene que el procedimiento relativo al primer término –la ruptura respecto de un estado de la situación, por efecto de lo supernumerario y su nominación– contribuye a inteligir el acto analítico. Este se aborda aquí en dos sentidos interrelacionados: interpretación del analista y modificación de la posición subjetiva del analizante. El eje transversal del trabajo es la función del Uno, entendida no como principio de unidad sino como operación que introduce la máxima diferencia. A partir del análisis de la propuesta formal de Badiou y de las elaboraciones de Lacan en torno tanto al pasaje del rasgo unario al Y a de l’Un como al acto, se busca mostrar cómo este último encuentra un apoyo formal en la excedencia respecto de la legalidad que caracteriza al acontecimiento.

SUMMARY
This article examines the relationship between Alain Badiou’s concept of the event and the psychoanalytic act. The hypothesis argues that the procedure related to the former –the rupture of a state of the situation caused by the supernumerary and its nomination– contributes to rendering the analytic act intelligible. The latter is approached here in two interrelated senses: interpretation (on the analyst’s side) and modification of the subjective position (on the analysand’s side). The guiding thread of the argument is the function of the One, understood not as a principle of unity but as an operation that introduces absolute difference. Through an analysis of Badiou’s formal proposal and Lacan’s elaborations on both the transition from the unary trait to “Y a de l’Un” (“There is One”) and on the act, the article seeks to demonstrate how the latter finds formal support in an excess over the legal order that characterizes the event.
