RESUMEN

Las problemáticas en primera infancia que involucran el desarrollo emocional del niño y el ejercicio de la parentalidad son un desafío urgente en el campo de la salud mental. Como contribución a este tema presentamos un estudio longitudinal en el que examinamos la posible continuidad en los modos de vinculación afectiva de la díada primaria a través de la Disponibilidad Emocional Diádica (EAS) y su vinculación con el Funcionamiento Reflexivo Materno (FRM), en una misma muestra madre-hijo/a a los 6 meses y a los 4 años. Respecto de la Disponibilidad Emocional Diádica, en esta muestra, los rangos medios se mantuvieron similares a ambas edades, excepto en dos escalas: No intrusividad materna, que es mayor a los 4 años e Involucramiento del niño, que también es más alta a los 4 años. Por otra parte, la vinculación entre FRM y EAS resultó significativa a los 6 meses, pero no a los 4 años en todas las escalas, excepto la de No intrusividad.

ABSTRACT

Longitudinal study of dyadic emotional availability and maternal reflective functioning in mother-child dyads at 6 months and 4 years old.

Problematic issues in early childhood involving children’s emotional development and the exercise of parenting are an urgent challenge in the field of mental health. As a contribution to this topic we present a longitudinal study in which we examine the possible continuity in the modalities of affective bonding of the primary dyad through the Dyadic Emotional Availability (EAS) and its link with the Maternal Reflective Functioning (FRM), in the same mother-child sample at 6 months and 4 years of age. Regarding Dyadic Emotional Availability, in this sample, the mean ranges remained similar at both ages, except for two scales: Maternal Non-intrusiveness, which is higher at 4 years and Child Involvement, which is also higher at 4 years. On the other hand, the link between FRM and EAS was significant at 6 months, but not at 4 years for all scales, except Non-intrusiveness.
