THE TESTIMONIAL LITERATURE ABOUT STATE TERRORISM IN ARGENTINA. AN ANALYSIS OF THE WRITTEN TRANSMISSION BY THOSE DIRECTLYAFFECTED AND OTHER AUTHORS.
This investigation project finds a strong conceptual background on three UBACyT
projects held under the samedirection during the last years. Those projects
firstly demonstrate that the treatment held over the voice of the witnessesin
trails due to crimes against humanity not only requires diverse ways of analysis,
but it also has a lot to teach us onprocedural limits, and the way these limits
are often trespassed by the testimony. Secondly, we could conclude thatthose
directly affected by state terrorism could reach certain level of appropriation
of their own voice and say throughliterature, due to the absence of obstacles
in comparison the judicial area. Therefore, a new question arise withinthe investigation
group, in order to understand not only the way those authors indirectly affected
by state terrorismcan provide an epochal testimony through literature, but also
the differences to be challenged both conceptually andsymbolically between that
literature and the one produced by the authors that were directly affected by
state terrorism. The current project intends to characterize the overlaps, similarities
and divergences observed between the literature ofthe authors directly affected
and the authors indirectly affected by state terrorism in Argentina, with special
emphasison the conditions, literary strategies, fictional support and effects
driven through which their literature arise and shape atestimony of the horror.
